Over the weekend the team conducted its first in-house RTACC training course. RTACC is aimed at front-line emergency services personnel who may have to deal with life-threatening emergencies. The venue was the Deanwater Hotel, Woodford and was held over two full days.
Lead by the teams' Health Care Professionals (HCPs), the course was a combination of classroom sessions always followed by practical scenarios, which both reinforced the learning points and also allowed candidate assessment.
The twelve candidates were a mixture of experienced members refreshing their training and our newer recruits. All did well and finished the weekend as qualified RTACC practitioners.
