Tonight's session was at our training suite at the Deanwater Hotel and we were delighted to be joined by John Coombs (Edale Mountain Rescue), Nick Shepard (Kinder Mountain Rescue) and Paul Taylor (Glossop Mountain Rescue). All three, as well as being members of Peak District Mountain Rescue teams, are experienced search dog handlers and members of Search And Rescue Dog Association (SARDA) England.

John gave an excellent presentation of the use of Air Scenting Search Dogs and we discussed at length how they are an extremely valuable and effective asset in searches and how they can increasingly be used in Cheshire.

We would like to sincerely thank them for taking the time to visit, share their expertise and also for their offer of ongoing support from the SARDA England Search dogs and handlers from the Peak District Mountain Rescue region.

We are proud to have team members that are also members of SARDA Wales and extremely lucky that as a county we have the support of SARDA England and SARDA Wales whose members often travel long distances to assist in the search for missing people in Cheshire.
