Training

Tonight's training was an insight into the work of fellow SAR organisation SARAID an urban SAR team who deployed to Nepal following the earthquake earlier this year.

Their work can be extremely dangerous, working around collapsed buildings in areas where aftershocks are likely. SARAID members are ready to deploy anywhere in the world to respond to a request for help and are putting programmes in place to train local people as responders in the event of earthquakes or other disasters.

We'd like to thank Steve and Cat for giving up their time to come and talk to us. It's great to see how other teams operate and have the chance to share best practise.
