At 1630hrs the Team were called by Cheshire Police requesting assistance to search for a missing elderly gentleman suffering with severe dementia in the Warrington Town Centre area. The Team responded immediately and within half an hour had members searching the immediate area. Within an hour there were 23 members on scene assisting with the search and many more on their way. Thankfully before the weather took a turn for the worse, the gentleman was found safe and well nearby.

This callout was a stark reminder that Cheshire is made up of both rural and urban environments and that the Team can be asked to assist in both these contrasting worlds. It is easy to forget this, with the majority of our call-outs being in the rural areas of the County but today was a flashback and reminder of the founding days of the Team, some 13 years ago when a young girl went missing from Warrington Town Centre
