Wednesday 27 November: Call-out

We were called to assist North East Wales Search and Rescue team (NEWSAR) to assist in the search for a missing person at 09:31 but were stood down at 10:07 as the missing person had been found.

Wednesday 20 November: Call-out

We were called out to assist our colleagues from Bolton Mountain Rescue Team to search for a missing male in Sale. We were stood down an hour later when he was found safe and well.

Sunday 22 September: Call-out

We were called out to assist our friends and colleagues from Bolton Mountain Rescue Team to search for a missing male but were stood down 52 minutes later as he was found safe and well.

Wednesday 11 September: Call-out

We were called out by Cheshire police to search for a high risk male at 11:27 hrs but were stood down at 12:11 as he was found safe and well.

Tuesday 10 September: Call-out

At 12:31hrs we were called to search for a lady that was missing from home in Alsager. As the search area was close to the boundary with our friends at Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team we asked for their assistance and with members from both teams 40 members started to search the area. More...

On top of our Search Technician qualification, the medical training we do is pretty extensive and enables qualified team members to manage a trauma situation and take a casualty to a place of safety as quickly as possible. In terms of the call outs we attend, this could be anything from a mountain bike crash in an inaccessible location, a despondent person intending to harm themselves, or a high risk elderly person who may be injured or have underlying medical conditions. This weekend another 18 members passed the Association of Lowland Search and Rescue (ALSAR) Water Bank Search Training course that we ran at the stunning Quarry Bank Mill at the National Trusts Styal Estate. Tuesday 26 March: Training

Tonight’s training was at the beautiful ‘Tegg’s Nose Country Park which is located close to Macclesfield in Cheshire on the Western edge of the Peak District National Park and is owned and managed by Cheshire County Council. It is a popular area for walking and attracts visitors from the local area and beyond who come to the park to enjoy the stunning views of the park and across the Cheshire plain as well as learn more about the history of the area.’ * More...

Friday 22 March: Call-out

We were called out by Cheshire police at 10:45 to assist them on the hills above Macclesfield in the snow. Our brief was to provide standby rescue cover and to respond to people who had become trapped and had contacted the police. We were also asked to assist by searching all affected areas as the police were concerned that there may be people without mobile phones or people with phones but with no reception and they wanted to ensure that absolutely nobody would be left at risk. Thursday 21 March: Donation to the team

This evening team members Philip Walton, Mark Susca and Barbara Broderick went to the Tarporley Art Gallery for a opening night art exhibition. A number of artists including Janet Wilson had their photos exhibited. Janet from Brackendale Photography has said that she will kindly donate the proceeds from the 6 pieces of art work being displayed at the art gallery.
